about

This is first and foremost a soundtrack to Dziga Vertov's masterpiece film "Man With a Movie Camera." Secondly, it is my personal answer to Yann Tiersen's soundtrack to the film "Amélie," J Dilla's "Donuts" album, and the oeuvre of Ananda Shankar.

These fifty one tracks blend acoustic, electric, and electronic sounds.

Inspiration for this album comes from many sources including Hindustani ragas, hip hop, bass music, palm-wine guitar music, highlife, afro-beat, Maghrebi beats, tabla, bhangra, psychedelic rock, and ambient music.

I play sarod, electric sarod, guitar, bass, mandolin, accordion, analog synthesizers, tabla, dhol, dholak, darbouka, bendir, rumba box, talking drum, electronic drums and beats, and 41 other percussion instruments

Massive and sincere thanks to my Kickstarter supporters!
